On Friday, May 16, UEI president David Tarver and research associates on the UEI/U-M team presented the UEI Urban Innovator Platform (UIP) at U-M College of Engineering (CoE). Attendees included representatives from CoE staff, CoE Center for Entrepreneurship, U-M Innovation Partnerships, U-M Ross School of Business Impact Studio, and U-M Optimize. The U-M research associate presenters were Felipe Furtado, M.D., and Odiso Obiora, a recent graduate of the U-M Urban Technology program.

The presenters described the purpose and objectives of the Urban Innovator Platform and gave a demostration of some of its most salient features. The presentation was well received, and the attendees indicated that the platform could be a useful tool in their own work.

UEI appreciates the ongoing support of the University of Michigan, College of Engineering, and Center for Entrepreneurship as we work to identify, strengthen, and empower the community of people and companies that are producing innovative solutions for urban communities.
