Brinda Devine, after a career in real estate management at Wayne State University, has decided to strike out on her own and make her mark on the urban scene. Her fledgling Kornr Store may look like a one-off, but Brinda has plans to bring the concept to multiple neighborhoods to bring quality goods and services to people who were once trapped in “food deserts.” Will Kornr Store be the 7-Eleven equivalent for urban neighborhoods? We don’t know, but we admire Brinda for stepping out there and making store #1 a reality.
