Lisa Prasad, HFHS VP, Joins UEI Board of Directors

Lisa Prasad, Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer at Henry Ford Health, has joined the UEI Board of Directors as of December 1, 2025. At Henry Ford, Lisa has been responsible for driving an enterprise-wide innovation and commercialization strategy, translating clinician-driven and externally developed technologies into scalable products, services, and ventures. In addition to her many leadership roles and accomplishments at Henry Ford, Lisa leads the Henry Ford Health + MSU Innovation Hub, a joint platform with Michigan State University that aims to accelerate health care innovation through commercialization, startup partnerships, and translational research.

Lisa also brings direct entrepreneurial experience to the UEI board. She was the co-founder of a business, U3 ventures, that was a pioneer in using real estate development as a tool to create vibrancy and growth around colleges and universities. Lisa has a passion for bringing entrepreneurial energy and excellence to urban communities, and that is totally consistent with the UEI mission.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lisa Prasad to our board,” said W. David Tarver, UEI founder and president. “I have known Lisa for years, and have witnessed firsthand how her passion for innovation, strategic thinking, and infectious energy have greatly benefited the organizations she serves. We are fortunate to have Lisa work with us in this new phase of UEI development.”

Lisa joins current UEI board members Fred Hall, Karen Lopez, Reggie Barnett, and David Tarver. UEI is preparing to bring on additional board members in the first half of 2026, as the organization levels up to a new expanded mission and growing organization.
